77 Days in September, By Ray Gorham

I was turned onto a 77 Days in September by a reader, (Thank You!) it was so worth the read! I was drawn into the fate of the characters, and became immersed in the pain and the suffering of the family that was separated by 1,500 miles by untimely strike of an EMP.

299 Days The Collapse

299 Days The Collapse

I am enjoying this series from Glen Tate. The story is broken down into 10 books and he keeps you wanting more. I love the charter development and the fact that the “bad guys” do not even know that they are the bad guys. I think as you read this you will see this is how the world is, people that have an opinion and view those that do not as strange, evil, or just misguided. Glen is able to give that trait to all the people in his story.

Agenda 21, By Glen Beck and Harriet Park,

I was looking forward to my copy of “Agenda 21” to come to my door, (I do most of my book shopping online now) and when it came I popped it open and began to read. The book started off slow and did not pick up any steam for me. I am not sure what I was expecting, maybe a story about how Agenda 21 was implemented by the United States, nope, how Agenda 21 was forced into law by some international body…not that, I was not sure where the book was going until I read it.

299 Days: The Preparation by Glen Tate

As requested by the Bear Flag Trading Company readers, I have read the first of a 10 part series of 299 Days by Glen Tate. I was expecting the usual progression that most of the writers give us in this genre. You know the world is falling apart, the hero of the story is a retired Special Forces guy that is an expert in everything, and he saves the world or reestablishes it. Not the case in this one.

The Complete Idiot’s Guide To Surviving Anything Review

The Complete Idiot’s Guide To Surviving Anything is a good book for tips on getting through life threatening situations, understanding basic emergency skills, and survival instincts. The book explains everything in a way that everyone can understand. I think that as a prepperOne who prepares and survivalist this is a good book to help make

Hunger Games: The Books and the Movie

I was convinced by a reader to read the Hunger Games and I decided to do a review on the entire series instead of the just the first book. I am including the movie as well. First let us discuss the books; the books are written for the young readers age 13 and above and

Revolution on NBC

Okay I made it through four episodes of Revolution on NBC, I have to say that I am hooked. It is a little Sci-Fi ish, with the magic jump drive and all. That aside the show is well written and keeps you thinking. You will tend to like the bad guys and you are never sure if the good guys are good.

Brushfire Plague By R.P. Ruggiero

I get an email from a friend telling me that I have to review this new book called “Brushfire Plague” about a town in the Northwest that is battling a plague. The next thing I know I am on the phone with the author of the book and we start talking about his book, why he wanted to tell the story and how this all got started. I was intrigued to say the least. I told Mr. Ruggiero that I would be honest and read the book with a critical eye.

Survive Doom

One of the things that we at BFTC try to do is not only bring you the how to, but the why to prepare as well in our pages. I was given the book “Survive Doom” by a friend to check out, and he wanted my opinion on how the book is. The issue that I have is I know the author and I like him. I took a critical look at his book.
