Can an onion a day keep the doctor away?

They are a staple in just about every American kitchen – and they do more than just flavor your food. We’re talking about onions, of course. Dr. Manny Alvarez, senior managing health editor of FoxNews.com, received this question from a viewer: My husband told me that he read something about onions being a superfood. Is

Oral Health When The Grid Is Down Part 1

So let’s talk prevention. As we stated before, brushing and flossing your teeth is the most important way to prevent oral health issues. If your tooth brush is bad, or you lost it, you can use a twig. Take a twig and sharpen one end, this will be used as a flossing tool. The other end of the twig you should chew on it until it is frayed, use the fibers as the brush. If you use aspen, orange tree, cherry tree, apple, or mint twigs, they tend to taste good. I would stay away from any pine tree. If that is not your idea of a tooth brush, try rapping piece of rough towel on a stick and using that.

Forced medical intervention – Disrespecting informed consent

Criminals have more constitutional rights than medical patients. Gone are the rights of due process and second opinions. It seems that patients are somehow bereft of Sixth Amendment rights to counsel. When doctors are pitted against patients, the courts often defer to the fallible physicians’ demands that patients submit their bodies to them. Forced care condones coercion and denies fundamental, medical principles of informed consent and informed refusal.
