Thank you for your interest in advertising with Bear Flag Trading Co. Here is a brief overview of our program. When you sign up you will have 24/7 access to the Advertiser’s panel:
BFTC currently offers Size (9) ad zones. Five (7) of them are on the right side navigation panel, the other appears within the Classifieds pages above and/or below the individual classified ads. We also offer two 468 X 60 px ad spaces, Zone 5 appears under classified ad’s and zone 13 appears under every Post in the Blog.
For ease of use we have The “Advertiser’s Panel”, this is what you will see when you login once you have created an account. From this panel you may create new ads, manage existing ads & campaigns and view your ad reports.
First, create a campaign.
The campaigns page lets you manage and activate your advertising campaigns. Campaigns are just a way to organize your ads in logical categories such as “Summer Sales”, “Winter Ads” or “My Zone 4 Ads”.
Second, create your Ad.
The ads page allows you to create ads for these campaigns. Here you can manage the actual advertisements running in the campaigns. Each campaign can run up to 1,000 of your ads.
Each ad needs to have a label, which is simply a way to identify the ad. There are three supported ad formats:
Banner ad – when this is selected you may upload an image and give it a target URL. When the image is clicked it will take the user to your set URL.
Text ad – Enter your plain text ad and a target URL. When the text is clicked it will take the user to your set URL.
HTML ad – Enter HTML code (Javascript is not supported). Please note: For HTML ads click tracking is not possible.
Once your ads are created it’s time to assign the ad to one or more campaigns and select a priority. The ad priority defines how often the ad will be shown compared to your other ads in the same campaign. If you have only one ad in the campaign, the priority is not important.
Once your ad is created, click on the “Campaigns” link. Now that you have an ad associated to the campaign, Click the “Activate” link and choose the desired package. Once the ad is paid for your ad will be visible within 24 hours.
Similar to the administration panel, the “Reports” pagewill show stats about the impressions / clicks on the ads and the status of the campaigns.
